BH commander captured in a popular Church in Lagos

Boko Haram commander captured in a popular Church in Lagos Troops of the 3 Battalion of Nigerian Army last week
ambushed and slew 16 BH members. Others were arrested.

According to the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, Nigerian Army engaged in a fierce gun battle with the terrorists.

Two soldiers lost their lives in the battle while several others sustained injuries.

Following the release of a list bearing 100 most wanted Boko Haram members, Nigerian security agencies have been on the alert.

One senior member of the Boko Haram sect in the most wanted list was traced to a church in Lagos State.

Five other Boko Haram members were arrested at different locations in Lagos State. Although security authorities have refused to name the Church were the Boko Haram member was hiding,
Codex News gathered that the church is located in Festac Town.

Corroborating the story, the Mai-Kanuribe of Lagos and the Seriki Hausawa of Ijora Kingdom, Alhaji Mustapha Mohammed stated that five Boko Haram suspects were picked up by security personnel on Friday.

Festac Church is named Adam.
Adam was hiding inside an abandoned 40-feet container inside the church.

A security source explained the slight drama that happened when Adam was picked up in the Lagos church.

“When we arrived the church premises looking for him, the security man attached to the church was not around
then.

“The container was locked from the outside with a
padlock.

“Adam was hiding inside an abandoned 40-feet container in church premises.

“It was the security man attached to the church that hid him inside the container.”

“The pastor of the church was embarrassed to see us.

“However, when we explained our mission to him, he
gave us permission to break the padlock.

“Adam was hiding in the far corner of the container.
“As soon as the Pastor sighted the suspect, he started singing praises,” the source stated.

The other arrested five Boko Haram members are Goigoi Kamsalem, Ibrahim Mohammed, Ibrahim Ali, Abubakar Ahmed, and Babagana Blam Ali.

Abubakar Ahmed, Goigoi Kamsalem and Ibrahim Mohammed are from Baga Local Government Area.

Ibrahim Ali hails from Bama Local, while Babagana Blam Ali hails from Konduga Local Government Area.

All suspects are from Bornu State.
According to Mai-Kanuribe, “Abubakar Ahmed, Goigoi Kamsalem and Ibrahim Mohammed were arrested in
Victoria Island, Lagos.

They were putting up with a friend there.
