A statement signed by Alh Ibrahim Yunusa Mubi on behalf of Binani’s supporters and mobilizers in the region has dismissed the claims as “lacking in depth, understanding or requisite knowledge of local politics.” The statement argues that the group in question cannot claim to have supported Binani in the 2023 Governorship election while also pledging loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as this would be a contradictory stance.

Binani, who was the APC’s gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 election, has built a strong reputation as a grassroots politician with a deep understanding of the needs of her constituents.

Her empathy, philanthropy, and timely interventions have endeared her to the people of Adamawa State, who have shown their appreciation by voting for her in large numbers. In fact, she garnered over 390,000 votes in the last election, a testament to her popularity and influence in the region.

The statement from Binani’s supporters also advises the APC state party EXCO to be cautious of groups that claim to support the party while making presumptive statements about Binani’s loyalty. It urges all political groups to focus on profitable grassroots politics that will benefit the APC, rather than using Binani’s name to attract patronage. With her strong support base and commitment to the party, Binani remains a bonafide member of the APC in Adamawa State.
