Bindow: Head of Presidential polls, Over 13,000 APC members defect to PDP in Adamawa

The defection of the immediate past Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla (Bindow) to the People’s Democratic Party has continued to bring about a massive change of political thinking to many grass politicians.

Bindow during a visit to Mubi, his country home a few days ago in a mega rally in making sure that the people’s Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar get an overwhelming Victory alongside other candidates in the state has continued to yield positive results for PDP.

The former Governor has been in his toes and nails canvassing votes, yesterday in Mubi North, Mubi South, and Maiha over thirteen Thousand All progressives Congress (APC) members dumped the party in a show of solidarity with Senator Bindow.

Confirming the development a spokesman of the decampees, Hon Hamisu Ali, aka, Garba Shehu told our correspondent that APC is dead and buried in the Mubi Emirate council of the state Northern senatorial zone.

Garba sends a video to our correspondent to further buttress the fact that the defection is a serious catastrophe blow to APC, an opposition party in the state.

In the video hundreds of APC members were seen dropping their former party’s membership cards, piling t, hem and setting them ablaze alongside brooms to signify the end of APC in the zone.

In welcoming the new decamped to the PDP fold, the Mubi North Local Government Chairman, Hon Suleiman Yahaya (Sudi) said PDP is a bigger umbrella that is capable to accommodate all party men.

According to him their loyalty to the former Governor will certainly pay them well at the end of the day.

Candidates of the party aspiring to be Senator, House of representatives and state house of Assembly are Rev Amos Yohanna, Hon Jingi Rufai, Hon Musa Bororo and Mr. Ishaku Dangote respectively vowed to work with Senator Bindow to make sure that PDP takes the leading role of administration not only in Adamawa state but the entire country.

Bindow climaxed the event with a call to Nigerians to see Atiku as the only man to rescue the country in dire need of good leaders.

He said the country has suffered a massive defect in leadership ideology over the years, and now 2023 presents itself with election opportunities for Nigeria to decide.

“We can not decide otherwise at this time that we are all yearning for change. Atiku is the best Man to unite and grow Nigeria’s economy. The destiny of Nigeria will be better handled and managed well by Atiku, so we dare not gamble it away with frivolous desires.

“Let come out en mass to vote for Atiku and Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for our country and state to get the dividends of democracy. These people are the pills that can permanently cure Nigeria and Adamawa headache.” Bindow
