Boko Haram attacks Adamawa village, burn houses, loots shops amidst covid-19 Pandemic lockdown

Kirchinga,a village in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State bordering Sambisa forest has on Monday evening was attacked by Boko Haram insurgents, looted shops and destroyed many houses.

A source in confidence told TGnews that the adamant Terrorists stormed the village around 4pm on pick up vans and motorcycles and unleashed terror on the villagers and Many feared death.

The Boko Haram fighters also shot an octogenarian in the leg before being repelled by troops of the Nigerian Army.

A resident said, “The devastation would have been worst but for the timely response by soldiers stationed in Kirchinga.”

Commander of the troops in Madagali, Colonel Abdulsalam, also confirmed the attack.

He said, “Yes, there was an attack but it was repelled successfully.”

The attack is coming after the lockdown order by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri because of coronavirus global bPandemic.

No casualties is however known as the police public relations officer,DSP Suleiman Ngorure Said he will confirmed the development and get back to us before filling this report.

This happened after the Chadians Soldiers gave a serious blows to many members of the insurgents and a Senior Commandant was arrested by the Military during a Sunday exchange of gun shots.
