Boko Haram terrorists have attacked a village near Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State and abducted 15 girls.
TG NEWS gathered as also reported by first news that the insurgents also razed a church in the village and killed a local vigilante, during the attack which happened last Thursday night.
Pemi, the village, where the attack took place is the same place where a Pastor, Bulus Yukura, was kidnapped in December 2020.
The terrorists were said to have targeted the community church, EYN, NO 1 Pemi, and burnt it down.
It was also learnt that they went from house to house around the church area to pick the 15 girls they whisked away.
According to the villagers, the girls were all teens between 10 to 13.
Attacks by Boko Haram terrorists said to be operating from Sambisa forest, are more frequent in the area during the dry season period when the terrain is more motorable.
Locals said that mud during the rainy season impedes the movement of the terrorists, making it possible for them to access their farms.
However, as soon as the rain stops and everywhere becomes dry, attacks by the insurgents become common.
