It appears the lingering fight between the Executive Governor of Adamawa state, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the Senator representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial District,Mr Elisha Ishaku Abbo Cliff has never being resolved.
On the wee hours of Tuesday morning, the Senator on his facebook page promised to hit back with an explosive international press conference as he received reliable and credible information of a plan press conference by the Governor of Adamawa state against him.
“I have received credible information from multiple sources about a planned hired press conference paid by the Governor of Adamawa state against me which is scheduled to take place today 8/10/2019. The press conference is bankrolled by the Governor using tax payers money.
“Some elders were selected from each of our 21 LGA and forced to be part of the arranged press conference. Please sir, the elders are not with you. They know you, stop forcing them.” He said
Senator Elisha continue to say that:
“While I wish you the best in your charade of a press conference, expect my own international press conference. I promise it will be explosive and will be a reference point in the history of our dear state. There will be no more place for divisive characters and civilian coup plotters that sees nothing wrong with illegal Impeachments of our leaders in our political landscape. ( ThankGod for Court Judgements that upturned the multiple Impeachment’s/ coups)”
The escalated war between the once upon a time political good friends made Cliff to set free his political assailants of war on social media to fight back anyone negatively using his picture.
“I am authorizing my supporters to defend themselves against any act of aggression. If anyone uses my pictures on any social media site negatively to insult my person, please use my enemies picture in the same manner. I have stopped you from doing that before now while they freely use my pictures to insult me. You are now free.” Cliff said
According to him Let it be known to anyone who cares to know that they will never be slaves to lesser people,and should tune to their live press conference at the time that will soon be announced.
The two People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stalwarts in recent time caught in the web of internal crisis with a seeming possible of escalating to an unmanageable stage early last month.
Recall that a trending video going viral on the social media by senator accused Governor Fintiri on sundry issues.
Recall on the video Cliff said Governor Fintiri has turned himself to be Alpha and Omega,He can do and undo by hijacking the party affairs as his personal property.
In a press statement Fintiri through his spokesman and Director General Communication and Media, Mr Solomon Kumangar responded thus:
“The attention of His Excellency, Rt Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Executive Governor of Adamawa state, has been drawn to a video circulating in the social media in which Distinguished Senator Ishaku Abbo representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in the senate attempted to cast aspersion on the Governor.
“His Excellency views the Senator’s action as unfortunate and takes exception to the insults, innuendoes and attacks on his person and office.
“However, for now, the Governor does not intend to join issues with the Senator. Rather, His Excellency is in the delicate phase of laying strong bricks for the security, growth, development and prosperity of the people and institutions of Adamawa state and would not want to be distracted.
“His Excellency hereby calls on Distinguished Senator Abbo and indeed all loyal PDP members to explore available intra-party channels to express their grievances in a civilized and democratic manner to engender cohesion and solidarity.”
Efforts were also made by Tgnews to have him response on the allegation raised by Senator of the Plans by Governor Fintiri to have a world press conference today (8/10/19) and his number was ringing without been answered at the time of filling in this report.
