The Adamawa State Police Command has responded to a viral social media video in which Umar Ibrahim, Sarkin Pawa, Kala’a, alleges he and others were arrested, tortured, starved, and coerced into false confessions in the investigation of Mr. Thomas Godwin’s (aka Zamfara) murder.

The Command confirms that nine suspects—Sunday Terrang, Umar Ibrahim, Sadiq Ishaku, Solomon Gideon, Ahmed Aminu, Danlami Ali, Godwin Chakukuyada, Akacha Daniel Samari, and Ibrahim Bakari Mai-Cross—were arrested following a preliminary investigation.
The suspects and case file were transferred to the Force Intelligence Rapid Response Team (IRRT), Abuja, for further investigation. Statements were recorded in the presence of the State Legal Aid Council, with all processes video-documented.
