In a shocking move, Hon. Hassan Mamman Barguma, former Majority Leader of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a letter addressed to the Chairman of PDP Hong Ward, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Hon. Barguma personally signed and informed the chairman of his decision to leave the party.


Although the letter did not specify the party Hon. Barguma is joining, the development has sent shockwaves through the state’s political landscape. As a former key player in the Adamawa State Assembly, Hon. Barguma’s decision to decamp from PDP is likely to have significant implications for the party’s fortunes in the state.
