Gunmen have attacked a private university in Kaduna and abducted some students.
The private institution, Greenfield University, was attacked Tuesday night by gunmen suspected to be bandits.
The attack, TGNews gathered, happened at about 8:15pm on Tuesday, when the criminals invaded the school located along the Kaduna- Abuja road, some kilometres away from Kaduna city.
Kaduna State Police Command spokesman, Mohammad Jalige, confirmed the incident.
According to him, the gunmen abducted some yet to be ascertained number of students.
“There was an attack yesterday (Tuesday) in Greenfield University along Kaduna-Abuja road around 20:15 hours.
“Some students were abducted, but for now, I am not in a position to say how many students were abducted”, Jalige said in a telephone interview.
This recent attack happened while 29 out of the 39 students of the Federal School of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka, Kaduna, kidnapped from their school since March 11, are still in the captivity of bandits.
