Gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram have attacked Garki community, a suburb of Gombi local government area of Adamawa state.
An eyewitness told this medium that around 1:45am they stormed the community and started shooting sporadically.
According to him the attackers went away with two vehicles and shot one woman who is this morning confirmed death.
He said the Early hours attack made hundreds of people leave their homes and hide in the bush for fear of being killed or kidnapped.
Our source who is a Stakeholder and does not want his name in public intimated to our Correspondent from the bush where he ran for his life that the gunshots were many and saw armor vehicles.
“As at the moment, I can’t give you full details, but as soon as I return to town I will feed you with all the relevant information you want. It was truly a scary attack.” He said
The Army Public Relations officer of the 23 armour Brigade in Yola was contacted through a telephone call for more details on the story was not answering to press time.
