Dozens of road users are feared to have been killed when a tipper lost control and rammed into parked cars, hawkers at Viniklang, Girei local government of Adamawa State.
An eyewitness told our reporter on phone that no sooner than the tipper rammed into the vehicles killing dozens of people mostly trapped in vehicles.
“The incident happened along Viniklang junction along the Yola Mubi highway just after the Jimeta bridge.
“As you know that junction is always a bedlam of chaos because of the traffic build up and the fact that motorists usually park indiscriminately,” the eyewitness said.
An official of federal road safety, Abdurrahman Tukur when contacted said he received information about the accident adding that the Girei local government sector command is currently at the venue to verify the extent damage done.
