The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially opened its recruitment portal for the highly anticipated online Computer-Based Test (CBT) as part of the 2025 recruitment exercise.
With the test set to commence tomorrow, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, the agency has released detailed guidelines to ensure a smooth and equitable process for the over 1.9 million applicants vying for approximately 30,000 positions across Nigeria’s key paramilitary agencies.
In an official update posted on X (@CDCFIBNG) at 20:15 UTC, CDCFIB outlined the procedures for shortlisted candidates to access the CBT via the portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng. Candidates are required to log in precisely at their pre-selected exam time, with the testing window opening 30 minutes prior to allow system checks.
The agency emphasized the use of stable internet connections and laptops, recommending against mobile devices to avoid technical disruptions. The CBT, running from November 12 to November 19, 2025, will be AI-proctored to prevent malpractices, with provisions for candidates to reconnect in case of brief disconnections.
The recruitment drive covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), and Federal Fire Service (FFS), offering 10,000 positions each for NSCDC and NIS, alongside additional roles for the other agencies.
The massive turnout of applicants has heightened competition, prompting the CDCFIB to stress the importance of preparation and adherence to rules, including a warning against voltage fluctuations and the need for a stable power supply.
The agency’s portal confirms the shortlist window is now closed, urging candidates to rely solely on official communications.
As Nigeria prepares for this critical phase, experts advise applicants to double-check their exam schedules and ensure technical readiness.
