Breaking News: NECO Releases 2024 SSCE External Results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has just announced the release of the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination External results. According to the Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, a total of 86,067 candidates registered for the examination, with 84,799 candidates actually sitting for it. The exams were conducted between November 14 and December 14, 2024.

English Language and Mathematics. Additionally, 70,711 candidates, representing 83.39%, got five credits and above, irrespective of English Language and Mathematics

In terms of performance, 57,114 candidates – representing 67.35% – obtained five credits or more, including English Language and Mathematics. Additionally, 70,711 candidates, representing 83.39%, got five credits and above, irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.

The number of candidates who got credit and above in English Language is 62,929, representing 75.62%, while 77,988 candidates, representing 93.93%, got credit and above in Mathematics.

On a more serious note, Wushishi reported a 27.7% decline in examination malpractice cases compared to 2023, with 6,160 candidates booked for various forms of malpractice. Unfortunately, seven supervisors and fourteen centres have been recommended for blacklisting due to their involvement in misconduct.

Candidates can now check their results on the official NECO website at using their examination registration number. Wushishi expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, and others for their continuous support throughout the examination process.
