The Nigerian Army has launched an immediate recruitment drive for the Short Service Combatant (SSC) Commission Course 48/2025, opening doors for young Nigerians to serve in critical combat and support roles.
The announcement, made earlier today, targets single citizens aged 23-27 who hold a minimum of an HND (Lower Credit) or a First Degree (Second Class Lower Division) in Arts, Sciences, or Humanities.
This 15-year service opportunity begins with the rank of Second Lieutenant and offers positions in specialized units including Infantry, Armour Corps, Artillery, Engineers, Signals, and Intelligence Corps.
The application period, which began on October 9, will close on November 12, 2025. Interested candidates are urged to apply online through the official Nigerian Army recruitment portal at recruitment.army.mil.ng.
Eligibility and Requirements
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, medically, mentally, and physically fit according to Army standards, and must have no criminal record.
Essential documents include a valid birth certificate or age declaration, certificate of state of origin, NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter, an attestation letter from former institutions, and a recent passport photograph. The stringent selection process reflects the Army’s dedication to enlisting highly capable individuals to strengthen national security.
