The PDP Governors’ Forum, meeting in Oyo State, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will not entertain any coalition talks ahead of the 2027 general election. The announcement, made after a closed-door session hosted by Governor Seyi Makinde, underscores the party’s resolve to strengthen its internal structures and contest independently.

The governors also addressed pressing national issues, including economic hardship and insecurity, urging the federal government to prioritize citizen welfare. They reaffirmed their commitment to unity within the PDP, dismissing speculations of internal rifts.
The Oyo convergence signals a bold strategy for the PDP as it gears up for a fiercely contested 2027 election, with the party banking on its legacy and renewed vigor to reclaim power.
