Breaking News: Troops Nab Two Suspected Terrorists in Taraba

In a significant blow to terrorism in the region, troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have arrested two suspected terrorists and recovered weapons in Taraba State. The arrests were made possible by intensified intelligence-driven operations following the kidnapping of a district head in Jalingo Local Government Area on November 27.

After the victim’s release, the military tracked and apprehended the perpetrators, leading to the arrest of Musa Suito, a vigilante operative who provided information on potential targets for kidnappers, and Nura Yakubu, a suspected Boko Haram member who harbored terrorists in the state.

The recovered items from Musa Suito included one Dane gun and two cartridges, while investigations revealed that Nura Yakubu and his gang were involved in the kidnapping of a businessman, Mr. Arinze, and the son of Alhaji Ibrahim in the Garbatau community of Bali Local Government Area. The Nigerian Army has assured residents of its continued commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging the public to provide timely and credible information to security agencies.
