A robbery attempt was thwarted by the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) FCT Command in Abuja, resulting in the neutralization of one suspect and the escape of ten others. The incident occurred on March 10, 2025, at approximately 9:30 PM at Southern Bridge Estate, Jabi.
According to intelligence sources, the robbers scaled the estate’s fence and made off with several electrical appliances, whose exact value is still unknown. However, their escape was cut short when security personnel opened fire, hitting one of the suspects.
The injured suspect was immediately apprehended and rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, where he was pronounced dead by the medical team. The body has been deposited at the hospital mortuary, and the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has taken over the case for further investigation.
This incident is a testament to the swift response of the Nigerian Police Force in combating crime and ensuring public safety. The police are still on the hunt for the remaining ten suspects who fled the scene.
