The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a new registration date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Instead of starting today, Friday, January 31, 2025, registration will now commence on Monday, February 3, 2025. This change is necessary to allow the Board to make essential adjustments to its registration templates, following the recent suspension of certain law programmes at selected universities.

The Council for Legal Education had submitted this information to the Board, prompting the need for updates to the registration process.

Additionally, JAMB discovered that some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres had used deceptive facilities to gain approval, which requires further scrutiny and corrections. The Board apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to candidates and other stakeholders, but assures that the extra time will be used to ensure a smooth registration process.

The new registration dates are Monday, February 3, 2025, to Wednesday, March 5, 2025, for UTME, and Monday, March 10, to April 7, 2025, for Direct Entry (DE) registration
