People of Adamawa State have been urged to engage professional builders in constructiong structures so as not to risk unnecessary collapse.
The state Chairman of the association, Comrade Charles Balami,made the call in Yola when he led a protest-walk of the members to mark the 2020 builders day celebration.

The 13th of March every year has been declared by Nigerian institute of Building to raise awareness on the need for a standard Building production process in the country.
The chairman who mentioned 16 States that recorded collapsed buildings include Adamawa where he called for immediate implementation of Adamawa State urban and Regional planning law 2010 which was signed in to law by the then House of Assembly.
‘A day like this is significant not just because people died, there is always casualty in most Building collapses in Nigeria, but this particular one involved children who have been avoidable,we don’t want such to happen again in the future of our country’ Charles Balami said.
He recommended for construction programme, health and safety plan, quality management plan and buildability and maintainability report to stop collapse buildings.
