The peaceful protest against the incessant killings in Nigeria has been hijacked by some politicians in Adamawa State to achieve blackmail against Gov. Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa says Ahmed Lawani.
Ahmed Lawani a concern citizen of Adamawa state said that the unruly Christians youths were engineered by some politicians in the state to score a chip blackmail in discrediting the present Government in the state.
Lawani sort to know why is only All Progressives Congress (APC) posters were destroyed by the sponsored youths on demonstration that was suppose to be peaceful?
“It’s unfortunate some desperate politicians are trading with the life of innocent citizens in an effort to self gain themselves. Why this wicked act against ourselves? He asked
” My call and honest advice to my Christians Brothers and Sisters should understand that most politicians will never want us to stay in Peace, they gain more if we divided,I’m pleading with everyone to go get or dust up your PVC and let’s all join in voting out our killers,who most of them are politicians.
“We are all bittered on the ongoing killings, what is affecting Paul is what is equally affecting Mohammed, the suffering is all on our shoulders we the people that own the PVCs,voted them into power and they are killing us.” He said
“Enough of this barbaric and animalistic behavior.” He added
According to him Most Rev (Dr) Stephen Dami Mamza, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Adamawa state chapter has earlier dispatch protesters who turn out in their thousands to protest against the continue killings of defenceless people in the state and the entire Nigeria in general.
He continue to say that Mamza dispatched the crowed that stormed St Theresa Catholic Cathedral, the convergence point for the protest, informed them that the police refused to grant them the permission to carryout the peaceful protest.
Ahmed revealed that a white Siena bus immediately stopped at the gate of the cathedral with money to motivate hoodlums who had been hired to execute sinister mission for one of the aspirants in the position party.
A combined team of both mobile police and soldiers were deployed at some strategic points in the Jimeta town to forestall the anticipated destruction by hoodlums, especially the popular police roundabout.
With all these proactive security measures, the hoodlums found their way through the Ribadu square and got to the gate of the government house located at Dougire.
When Engr. Martins Babale, Deputy Gov. Came out to address the protesters, they refused to listen to him and immediately began vandalism of APC billboards right from government house to police roundabout.
