The Hon. Federal Commissioner Adamawa state, Dr Clifford Zirra has paid a courtesy call to the comptroller of Nigeria immigration service (NIS), Adamawa state command, and intimated to the security agent on why the 2023 census was postponed by the federal government.
Zirra with the State Director and the management staff of the National population commission on Wednesday explained issues about the postponement of the Census 2023.
He revealed told the NIS comptroller that the way forward was by reminding them of their task as stakeholders to ensure the success of the census exercise.
He said the federal government will certainly do the exercise on a time to be announced anytime soon and NPC is ever ready to conduct a credible census exercise.
He said the NIS is a part of a successful census whose duty is to ensure immigrants to Nigerians are well detected, and recorded for census validity.
