Chief Maurice Vunobolki’s Heart of Gold: Humanitarian Hero Brings Relief to Flood Victims in Garkida

In a remarkable display of compassion, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, Ph.D., FCA, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to uplifting communities in distress. Days after providing cash support, food, and essential goods to flood victims in Lamurde, the renowned philanthropist extended his humanitarian outreach to Garkida, Gombi Local Government Area, distributing food relief items and cash donations to victims affected by recent flooding across 10 communities.

The relief items were formally received by the Acting District Head of Garkida, Mr. Hussaini Buba Tarfa, at his palace, where hundreds of affected residents gathered.

The atmosphere was charged with gratitude as families, grappling with the devastating aftermath of the floods, received much-needed aid. The items distributed included several bags of assorted grains and cash donations to help alleviate the economic strain caused by the disaster.

In his remarks, Mr. Tarfa lauded Chief Vunobolki’s extraordinary generosity, describing the gesture as a lifeline for the affected communities.

“We are deeply grateful to Chief Vunobolki for his kindness and timely intervention. His support will bring succour to every affected person, and we assure him that these resources will be distributed equitably,” Tarfa stated.

The beneficiaries, visibly moved, expressed their heartfelt appreciation. Many shared stories of hardship, noting that the floods had disrupted their livelihoods, making it difficult to afford basic necessities.

“This is a blessing we didn’t expect. Chief Vunobolki has shown us love, and we pray for his continued success and strength to keep helping others,” said Amina Usman, a mother of three from one of the affected communities.

Chief Vunobolki’s back-to-back interventions in Lamurde and Garkida underscore his dedication to supporting vulnerable populations in Adamawa State.

His actions have sparked widespread admiration, with residents hailing him as a beacon of hope in challenging times. The people of Garkida, in unison, pledged their love and support for the philanthropist, whose efforts continue to inspire and uplift communities across the region.
