Christian Welfare board in Adamawa to train pilgrims on agriculture as facilitators while in a holy pilgrimage in Israel.
Adamawa’s Governor Muhammadu Umaru JIbrilla has reiterated government efforts to sustain sponsoring pilgrims from the state to holy lands despite the shortages of resources in the state.
Jibrilla made this known Saturday at government house Yola during at an occasion ‘Tourch A Heart’ and inauguration of ‘pilgrims ambassadors’ organized by Christian PIlgrims Welfare Board to sensitize this year’s intending Christian pilgrims from the state to holy land on the need to sponsor pilgrims stressing,that by so doing God would honor our fath.
Bindow urged Christian brethren to use any opportunity God provide them no matter little it is to sponsors pilgrims to holy Israel,noting that his administration would give Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board the desired supports in way possible to ensure hitch-free pilgrimage.
He charged pilgrims ambassador to perform their duties accordingly for a better pilgrimage .
Represented by Commissioner for Education Prof.Kaletapwa Farauta, the governor lauds the efforts of the board in organizing the sensitization program which is first of its kind, and renovation of its structures while urging on the intending pilgrims to pray for the state while in the holyland.
He called on the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and county at large.
Executive Secretary of the board,Dr.Jinga Mayo disclosed that the board this year introduces agric pilgrimage where by 50 to 100 pilgrims would be trained on various agricultural activities while in Israel,pointing out that on coming back from pilgrimage they would equally serve as facilitors and trainers to boost agricultural potentials of the state.
”The board selected people who would use this year’s pilgrimage as an opportunity to learn from the Isralis secrets of her survival as Nation in a desert that has no oil yet has strong economy in the world today ” he added.
National President Youths wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Daniel David Kaddzai lauded the efforts of the governor in declaring state of emergency in the education sector,saying activities of insurgency which rendered many homeless and lives lost is traceable to illiteracy.
