The President of Youths wing Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Engr David Daniel Kadzai laments how members of most of the Christian Universities in Nigeria cannot afford to send their and words to the school that they were taxed, contributed to built in this country.

According to him it is extremely worrisome the attitude of both the orthodox and Pentecostal spiritual leaders who are deliberately adding untold hardship to Christian faithfuls whose monies were collected as contribution or free well donations to built universities that their children will never dream of going to because of exorbitant tuition fees.

“May I also add here that while commending the vision to own a University, this should not be at the detriment of the importance of evangelism and discipleship which are the cardinal focal point of any Church that desire growth,While regretting high cost of Tuition Fees in the Missionary Universities where 80% of members can’t afford.” David said

Engr Kadzai made this statement during an EYN 94th convention in Mubi, Adamawa State with a theme “peace with God” where he changed the hundreds of faithfuls to understand the need of peaceful coexistence with other non Christian is one of the yardstick of seeing God.

He challenged the EYN church to wake up from spiritual slumbering as God is high expecting the church do massively do the work of soul winning and discipleship which is His heart beat and to equally work in the area of Education, security,Health, empowerment and social Justice in order to compliment government to have an enduring peace in the country.

“The Church today should look inwards in retrospect and ask, at 94 have the EYN Church make  the desired impact spiritually and socially in the Northeast and Nigeria as a whole? If not why So Stakeholders must address this urgently. ” if a church is more concerned with budgets and buildings than people…….they should close their doors! The church without mercy is a FRAUD!.He said

While reminding EYN that that her future is intrinsically connected to the quality of impartation to her Youths, the Church most be conscious of the dire need of Evangelism and educational crusade in the Northeast region where EYN is the dominant Church.

He continued to say that the The words of God enjoins us to follow peace with all men and holiness without which no eyes shall see the Lords,as he calls on all Nigerians to live in peace with anyone irrespective of his or her religion believe.

“As EYN Church is cloaking 94 years of age in Nigeria and in view of the Church’s desire for autonomy by the branch Churches, to own a University and focus on business development, all these most be people focused and oriented in order to face the challenges of the century.

“These will no doubt help in avoiding the pitfalls or trappings inherent in a copy-cat or competitive based approach. This in earnest means, more opportunities, more challenges requiring the right people in and outside EYN Church but with the best innovations, ideas, brilliance and abilities.”
