None Christians alike has been called upon to pray earnestly for peace, unity, and tranquility of Nigeria facing a lot of trials in the area of insecurity.
The immediate past Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla (Bindow) said Christmas is a special day for all Christians around the world celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ in prayers and worship.
Umaru while felicitating with Christians in Adamawa state for witnessing the 2021 Christmas said the season should equally be a moment of prayers to avert looming security threats across the country.
Umaru made the passionate call to all Nigerians irrespective of religion and tribe to understand that insecurity is the enemy of development and will always impede the progress of all purposeful governments.
Jibrilla in a statement sent to TG News celebrating with Adamawa Christian emphasized the need for unity, peace, and tranquility as the most nonnegotiable virtues for all people to embrace.
“My greetings to all of you and all yours in this festive period. A special day to our Christian brothers and sisters. I congratulate you all for marking this year’s Christmas season, may we all celebrate it in peace.
” May I however remind you that our celebration for this year’s Christmas will never be complete if we have not used it to pray for the unity and peace of our nation which is under serious insecure challenges.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem that you dwell therein, in it shall all our blessings be. The incessant attacks, kidnappings and indiscriminate killings by bandits is a serious call for everyone to pray.
” I wish you a most memorable Christmas celebration in peace and unity for the overall development of our dear nation and state,” Bindow said
