The Chairman of Adamawa state chapter of Youths Wing Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Bro Ajine Delo called on Nigerians to remain unite under the umbrella of Peace as the country is moving towards the 2019 elections
Ajine in a Christmas message signed a Press statement issued to journalists said all Nigeria must refrain from preaching hate and avoid what will trigger violence during and after the electioneering period.
“We appreciate God for the grace of another Christmas celebration on earth planet. The season is a very unique one especially for Christians.
“As Our country move towards the 2019 general elections, we must remain united and refrain from actions, utterances and activities that can lead to violence and chaos.
“We must continue to love one another, maintain peace, be tolerance of all and sundry.
“It is essential to note that Jesus Christ the reason for the season was an embodiment of peace, love, humility, tolerance and sacrifice in his entire lifetime, hence he is referred and adored throughout the world.
“For us to be great as a people, we must not only imbibe Jesus Christ qualities, but we must also put them into practice, even now that it is very essential for every right thinking citizens to make greater sacrifice for the betterment of Adamawa State and Nigeria.
“As Christian Youth, vigilance should be our watchword at all times, to checkmate insecurity and any motive that could undermine our freedom and peace.
“We must strongly oppose invasion or poaching in our territory and ensure that our votes count in the next elections. We must also be wary of any unusual action in our neighbourhood, so that we would continue to nip crime in the bud and ensure our security as elections draw near.
