Civic reception: Nig Amb to DR Congo, others honored by Heba Language Devt Association in Adamawa

The People of Heba in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State has in a grand civic reception honored one of their Illustrious Son, His Excellency Engr Omar Suleiman, Nigerian Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Suleiman who was Represented by Alh Mohammad Bashir Hong(Maikudi) said the envoy with due diligence will keep on the flag and glory of Heba higher anywhere he is.

While appreciating the recognition and the honor, Maikudi said the gesture is indeed a morale booster to Suleiman who is unavoidable absent because of bilateral engagements and meeting with President Felix Tshisekedi of DR Congo.

The People under Heba Language Development Association have organized the event that also Honoured Adamawa State Judiciary Chief Judge, Justice Nathan Musa, Engr Dr. Salihu Jamari, MD/CEO NNPC Gas power and Investment Company Limited and Rear Admiral KG Levi, Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard Limited.

The Civic reception witnessed a great turned out of Mammoth crowd across the state which had the privilege to have the presence of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barr Boss Mustapha as Guest of honor represented by Dr. Ismaila Nuhu Makshat, and HRH Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Mustapha, the Lamido of Adamawa as the Royal Father of the day.

The SGF commended the organizers for reviving the Huba culture of celebrating their kith and kin who distinguish themselves in All Works Of Life.

Boss Called for unity in the country, State and Huba unity communities in fighting against all forms of insecurity bedeviling the nation.

While thanking friends and well wishers for gracing the occasion and wished all safe return to their destinations, Mustapha reminded them for the collaborative efforts to also fight against Covid-19 variant by observing the laid down protocol, take the jabs as it is almost available everywhere.

The event which took place at College of Education Hong Staff school football field had a business mogul who is into oil and Gas, Engr Dr. Aminu Abdulkadir Mbamba, the Sarkin Hurumi Adamawa as the distinguished Chairman of the occasion.

The Chairman in a speech said the honor today goes to the proud sons of Heba who are making the tribe in their respective field of endeavors.

He said it was a successful gathering of Heba sons and daughters and they have witnessed accolades of praises to few among many sons and daughters of the land, making them proud in and outside the country.
