The Center for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) celebrated its tenth anniversary, commemorating a decade of promoting excellence in journalism and contributing to Africa’s development.
Established in 2014, CJID has enhanced media professionalism, fostered investigative journalism, and advocated for press freedom through various initiatives.

“CJID’s work has been instrumental in shaping the narrative of Africa’s growth and development,” said CJID Executive Director, Mrs. Tanya Ogunmakin. “We’re proud of our achievements and committed to continuing our mission.”
Notable stakeholders, including media professionals, civil society organizations, government representatives, and international partners, attended the celebration.
As CJID enters its next decade, the organization plans to expand training programs, launch initiatives focused on digital journalism and fact-checking, and strengthen regional and international partnerships.
