In this interview with newsmen, a renowned political analyst in Adamawa, Alh Umaru Bello Jada also known as Calculate has disclosed that the major opposition political party in the country PDP has through acts of commission or omission made itself a pawn in Nigeria’s political chess game by working silently and assiduously to ensure the victory of APC come 2027.

Recently the governors of PDP led by Gov. Bala Mohammed have openly rejected any move to enter into coalition with other political parties to oust the ruling APC in 2027. Don’t you think that the position of the governors is a mortal blow to the ambition of Atiku Abubakar who wanted to use the party’s platform to unseat president Tinubu come 2027 general elections?
The position of the PDP governors did not come to me or any discerning Nigerian as a surprise because I have told Nigerians times without number of an unfolding clandestine move by the PDP governors to unconscionably sabotage viable opposition and render our hard earned democracy prostrate. I told you that in the fullness of time, that clandestine and selfish move will manifest. In a matter of weeks after that prediction, what I told you has already manifested.
Right now PDP is under total annexation by alien and dark forces who are eternally opposed to the principle of rule of law and constitutionality as enshrined in democracy, who by hook or crook want to subvert democracy at all cost for the expediency of denying Atiku Abubakar a viable platform to contest the 2027 general elections.
We have seen this coming and we’re the least surprised and by the grace of God, the shenanigans of these undemocratic elements will not see the light of the day as the forces of few evil men will never triumph over Nigeria.
It is politically suicidal for any party who is by intent and purpose trying to grab power to shut its doors against possible alignments and coalition in order to bolster its strength and capabilities ahead of the general polls. But PDP has wholeheartedly in a show of impulsive overreach and arrogance blatantly said it is not joining forces with like minds to stop APC in its track.
That is a bold statement confirming it’s complicity in extending the inglorious reign of the APC. In fact, some of the PDP governors acting the script of their general overseer- in-chief, Nyesom Wike have outrightly predicted the victory of APC in 2027.

If you reminisce what happened in the lead to the 2015 general election leading to the comprehensive defeat of PDP, you will know that the PDP governors are not serious or desirous of getting power, otherwise the Atiku formula would have been adopted in line with best practices and the spirit of victory.
Don’t you think the refusal of the governors to agree to form coalition is a great setback to the ambition of the former vice president and a precursor to an unsuccessful outing in 2027 especially considering that in Nigeria no single opposition party has the strength, structures and mass appeal of PDP looking at the configuration of political parties in the country?
It is preposterous for anyone to think of defeating the power of incumbency on the alter of mere rhetorics especially in the context of developing democracies like Nigeria.
Naturally, the best practice to grab power is to form a rainbow coalition where all opposition forces will pool their strength to ensure the success of the opposition.
The arrangement or conspiracy by the PDP was deliberately contrived by the party’s goons as I have posited to give the present government the green card to continue beyond 2027.
And that is to say the least unpatriotic and selfish. But let me assert here that when it comes to national election especially presidential election, the powers of the governors to decide the fate of any candidate is limited. No governor will impose any unpopular presidential candidates in his state as has happened in 2023 election.

In the same vein, a similar scenario has played out in many northern states like Sokoto and Jigawa where Atiku won the presidential election and the APC won governorship election. This means no PDP governor should brag that his support or lack of it will change what Nigerians want.
It is imperative to tell Nigerians that no one should be deceived that governors determine who wins presidential election. Nigerians are the major determinants of who become what and with them and God by our side, the victory of the coalition widwifed by Atiku will record profound victory come 2027.
Now what are your next counter moves and action plans to achieve your major goal of defeating the APC in view of happenings in PDP?
As I have said, the platform on which we intend to achieve the noble and patriotic goal of sending away APC does not matter as at now. What we are sure of is that whether on the platform of PDP or any other political party, Nigerians are outwardly and expressly willing more than ever to effect a change of administration from the one which treat them with utmost levity and disdain to the one which is poised to rescue them from the artificial economic and social mishap they were hurled into.
I want to say with all sense of duty that patriotic Nigerians from the PDP, APC, and other budding allies are working round the clock to defeat the APC behemoth and that dream will surely come to fruition God’s willing. PDP was defeated despite empty threats, arrogance and sublime rhetorics in 2015.

The same Nigerians who worked tirelessly to ensure the defeat of PDP in 2015 are saying enough is enough, they are even more aggressive in their determination to defeat APC now than they were in the lead to the 2015 general elections.
The God who assisted Nigerians in 2015 abhors injustice and he has made it a duty to see the fall of unjust leaders and tyrants regardless of their hubris. This time the fall of APC will be olympian. Time will tell.
