Following the building collapse that killed a 14-year-old student, Harka Yinasim, at the Government Secondary School, Numan, Adamawa State Government has said it will provide conducive atmosphere to all government schools across the state.
Crowther gave the assurance shortly after he inspected the school, expressing shock over its deplorable state and stressing the need for timely intervention.
He expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident but called for calm, noting that the school suffered neglect from successive administrations.
A hostel of the GSS Numan had collapsed on 4th June, 2021, killing the teenage student Harka Yinasim and drawing the attention of the Fresh Air Government.
Chief Crowther Seth who was at the school in company of the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Human Capital to see things for himself, also visited the family residence of the departed student.
He regretted the unfortunate incident but urged the parents to take solace in the creator.
The father to the deceased, Yinasim Zaphania Zachariah, appreciated the state government for identifying with them, saying that the visit of the deputy governor comforted them.
