A joyous wedding ceremony turned deadly on April 13, as a communal clash erupted between the youths of Gidan Haki and Basasa villages in the Kware Local Government Area, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals and leaving nine others injured.

The violent incident unfolded around 9:00 a.m. when a misunderstanding broke out among the attendees from the neighboring communities. Eyewitness accounts describe a chaotic scene, with tensions escalating rapidly into a fierce brawl that engulfed the wedding festivities.
Despite the prompt intervention of security personnel, who attempted to restore order, the situation spiraled out of control. Tragically, two male victims from Gidan Haki village were confirmed dead at the scene. The identities of the deceased are yet to be disclosed as authorities work to notify their families.
Nine other individuals sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. The severity of their conditions remains unclear, but local health officials are monitoring their progress closely.
In the aftermath of the clash, a police spokesperson confirmed that 15 male suspects have been apprehended and are currently in custody, assisting law enforcement with ongoing investigations.
