Adamawa State Government is to spend over N836m on the reconstruction of 42 klm Damare-Borrong Road, stretching from National Youth Service Corps NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp.
Dr. Umar Garba Pella, State Commissioner of Education and Human Capital Development disclosed this Wednesday while briefing newsmen shortly after the council meeting held in the Government House, Yola, presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
He said the contract of the feeder road project which covers Girei and Demsa local government areas was awarded to Hydro Source and Resource Nigeria Limited with a completion period of 12 Months.
The Commissioner also said the council has approved over N117m variation for the construction of a modern laboratory at Specialist Hospital, Yola.
He stated that the project was initially awarded at N578m, and explained that the variation is to cover the cost of the increased price of building materials.
