In a surprising turn of events, a group of young constituents from Yola North, Yola South, and Girei Federal Constituency has announced the suspension of their recall process against Hon. Abubakar Baba Zango, their representative in the National Assembly.

The group, known as AYCT, had initiated the recall process due to concerns over Hon. Zango’s performance and representation of the constituency. However, after consultations with prominent stakeholders and elderly persons in the constituency, AYCT has decided to give Hon. Zango more time to address their concerns and work effectively for the people.
In a press release issued on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, AYCT stated that they had chosen to halt the recall process to allow Hon. Zango to “set things in order” and demonstrate his commitment to transparency and accountability.

The group also addressed allegations of being sponsored by external forces, emphasizing that their actions were driven solely by their dedication to the welfare of their constituents.
AYCT expressed gratitude to Senator Abdulrahman Kwacham, Hon. Sadiq Suleiman, and other individuals who had urged them to reconsider the recall process and assured them of Hon. Zango’s willingness to work with the constituents.
The group thanked the masses for their support and pledged to continue advocating for their rights and interests.
