Coronavirus: Adamawa Rep Members Donates N2.5 Million to fight covid-19

The representatives Lawmakers of various Constituencies Representing Adamawa state at the national Assembly have donated N2.5 million to fight and curb the effect of coronavirus on the people of the state.

The funds was handed over to the Technical Committee for Containment of COVID-19 headed by Engr Bashiru Ahmad.
A statement by the Ahmad who is also SSG said Kwamoti Laori representing Numan Lamurde and Demsa Federal Constituency presented the money on behalf of his colleagues.

The Lawmaker Representing Michika/Madagali Constituency, Honourable Zakariya Dauda Nyampa Said covid-19 is the enemy of life and Economy that every hands must be on deck to squash it.

Reiterating the need of unity in combating the virus in the state,Hon. Ja’afar Magaji, representing Mubi-North, Mubi-South and Maiha federal constituency said the money is meant to tackle the possibility of the virus in the state.

Magaji who said that the virus is yet be recorded in the state, urged citizenry to adhere strictly to the seat at home order issued by the state government.

“We donated N2.5 million to block all the loop holes against coronavirus into Adamawa.

“Christian and Muslim faithful should be law abiding and adhere to lockdown order during this trial period.

“This is high time for fervent prayers and to seek for God’s forgiveness from all faiths.”

The lawmaker further added that, the seat at home order is aimed at protection of lives and property of people of the state.
