Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba state has reassured the people of the state of his administration’s commitment to providing more dividend of democracy more than his first tenure.
Ishaku gave the assurance while addressing a large number of his supporters as well as PDP as a party shortly after his returned from Abuja.
Our Correspondent observed that the gathering was aimed at welcoming the number one citizen of the state as well as to identified with him alongside his Deputy Engr. Haruna Manu over their victory against the All Progressives at the Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.
Governor Ishaku who described his victory as an affirmation of people’s choice by the court of justice, appreciated Tarabians for voting him massively during the 2019 governorship election.
He also promised them to continue with the good work he had started, especially in the areas of health, education, women and youths empowerment as well as agriculture, which he said will be given more priority with a view to complement Federal government effort to improve the sector for the development of the state.
However, other pledged made by the Governor were the provision of boreholes in all the rural areas across the sixteen local government areas of the state among others,
In an interview, a Former Speaker of Taraba state House of Assembly, Mr. Inusa Simon Dagari was optimistic that the Governor will deliver as he promised to embark on serious infrastructural development in the state.
Dogari who was also a Former Commissioner of Information and Reorientation in the first regime of Ishaku’s administration, urged Tarabians to support the Governor to achieve his good mission in taking the state to a greater heights.
Also in an interview, Madam Kuceliya Boss described the victory of the Governor as the will of God, expressing optimism that with support of the people of the state Ishaku will do much for the development of the state.
However, a former Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Alhaji Abubakar Mahmood (E.S)who was also elated by the victory of the Governor stressed the need politicians to join hands with Ishaku since the election has come and gone, adding that they should look forward to 2023.
