The federal government has started a conditional cash transfer in the Kwali area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory Ministry has said.
The cash was given out to residents in the early hours of Wednesday with beneficiaries receiving N20,000 each according to findings.
It was held at the Kwali Central Pay Point, Abuja.
President Muhammadu Buhari had announced during his nationwide address that there will be conditional cash transfers to vulnerable Nigerians.
The money is expected to help ease residents through the lockdown as the government looks to cushion the effects
