The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kaduna State Council has joined others to wish Governor, Mallam Nasir Elrufai of Kaduna state speedy recovery of Corona virus to enable him continue steering the ship of the state.
In a statement signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Adamu Yusuf, the council also prayed for other Nigerians that were tested positive.
It explained that since the outbreak of the virus, the governor has exhibited high level of leadership acumen and commitment, adding that he was up and down to ensure that the state is safe.
“We are optimistic that His Excellency will triumph at the end, because he had kept faith with the people at the hour of need”.
The Council appealed to the Acting Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe to speed the distribution of food items and other palliatives to the less privileged as well as the vulnerable ones as promised to cushion the effect of stay at home.
“We also want to use this medium to appeal to the wealthy individuals, corporate bodies and philanthropists to contribute both in cash and kind to assist the less privileges.
To our Members, use sanitizer, wear face mask, maintain distances and work at home if possible”. The statement added.
Recalled that Governor Nasir El-rufai on Saturday in a statewide Broadcast, announced that he was tested positive for Corona virus and proceeded to self isolation.
