The Federation of Muslim Women of Nigeria (FWAN), Taraba state Chapter has organised a special prayers for God to bring a lasting solusion against the spread of Covid-19 in the state and Nigeria at large.
The prayers which held at Late Waziri Sa’ad residence in Jalingo was led a renowned Woman in the preparation of Islam in the state, Malama Aminatu Hamman Adam along with a large number of Muslim women in attendance.
She prayed to God for forgiveness and to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic not only in Taraba, Nigeria but across the globe.
On her part, state Amira of FOMWAN, Malama Halimatu Hammanjulde Zubairu reminded people of the state that corona virus is real and stressed the need for women to observe cleaniness by washing hands regularly it sanitizers.
In their separates contributions on the need for women to adhere to the advices given by the health exparts, Malama Aishatu Muhammad, Malama Hafsat Idris Bawa and Malama Sa’adatu Dembo all appealed to the women to observe the precautionary measures such as personal hygiene and social distancing among others to avoid the possible spread of Covid-19.
Soaps were distributed to those that attended the occasion, while a sensitization on how to use sanitizers and other preventive measures on the spread of the Corona virus were also delivered.
