COVID-19:STOP DECEIVING PEOPLE WITH WRONG TEACHINGS:MUSLIMS COUNCIL URGES ISLAMIC SCHOLARS

The Adamawa State Chairman of Muslims Council during a special meeting in Yola lamented how some faithfuls are taken the covid-19 with a laxity of hand owing to the glaring fact that the virus is spreading fast with people on daily basis contacting it in the country.

Mallam Gambo Jika worried that the people in Adamawa, especially Muslims are not taking precaution meatures against the global pendemic coronavirus serious.

He said some Islamic scholars are brainwashing and deceiving adherents of the religion with wrong teachings over the world Pandemic virus.

While lamenting over the negligence of some of them not sticking to some simple hygienic tips,as According to him it is not any longer news, the disease is killing thousands of people and fast bringing down economy of the entire world.

He still reminded the Muslims in Adamawa to avoid over crowding, cultivate a habit of washing hands after every twenty minutes,cover their mouth nose and coply with all Governmemt directives and programs that are geared towards addressing the coronavirus challenge in the country.

Commenting on the council Local Government leadership election, which scheduled to hold on the 7th and 8th of April this year. Jika adviced the affiliated organization to vote for committed people for the success of the council and ensure orderliness and respect during the election.

During the meeting, chairmen, secretaries and publicity secretaries of the twenty one local government of the council, were in attendance and enlightenment campaign posters against COVID19 were distributed for onward distribution in mosque and other public places in their respective local government
