Crime: Gov Fintiri should ban the use of Keke Napep in Adamawa after the pickle of covid-19-Hon Har calls

A Politician and a public commentator in Adamawa State, Honourable Hussaini Ahmadu Har has called on the executive Governor of the state,Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to totally ban the use of Tricycle known as Keke Napep for commercial use.

Ahmadu said that covid-19 World Pandemic has revealed to the people of the state that the use of the commercial Tricycles is Constituting social menace in all its major towns, especially Jimeta,Yola and Mubi with unabated Crimes being committed on a daily basis.

He revealed that the few days of their ban because of coronavirus the City and towns are free from the known crime of Yan Shila who were using the means of transportation to commit heinous attacks.

Har who spoke to our Correspondent in his Yola residence and adviced the government to provide soft loans to the Youths who have been using the Keke as their means of survival to replace it with taxis for the towns transport services.

“Covid-19 has helped us in away,as news of Yan Shila attacking people at gun points collecting people valuables has reduced drastically.

“My call to the government of the day is to totally eradicate the use of Keke Napep because the boys has been using it to attach their victim who are mostly women.

“Honestly I’m of the view that Government should Ban it now and introduce effective services of Taxis especially within Jimeta, Yola Town and Mubi. I know is not going to be easy for the drivers of the tricycles but it will served the Best Interest of the general public,this will reduce the rate of crimes being committed on daily basis within the state capital and its environs.
