has expressed deep feeling over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari,GCFR who passed away on Sunday 14, July, in London at the age of 82.

In a condolence message, made available to Newsmen in Abuja on Monday Yusufu, described the death of the former president as a “Monumental loss to Nigeria’s democracy and Africa at large”.
“The passing away of Former President Muhammadu Buhari is a monumental loss to Nigeria, democracy and Africa at large. His long standing commitment to Nigeria’s unity, peace and stability is a testament to his exemplinary leadership, patriotism and statesmanship, the statement read.

Yusuf maintained that Buhari remained an Icon in Nigeria’s history whose leadership both during military and civil rule has sharpened and strengthen the nation’s unity and democracy.

He said President Buhari will be remembered as a visionary leader and Soldier who contributed to the unity of Nigeria.

“A democrat that during his administration countless Nigerians, especially the poor and downtrodden, benefited from his policies especially on agriculture.

” He represents a rare generation of noble patriots whose experience in governance was channelled into building lives and developing the country.

” He leaves a legacy that should inspire upcoming leaders, students of politics and democrats across generations to come”. Yusuf said
He pray to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his sins and grant him rest in Jannatul Firdaus.
