Dangote announced the donation during a sympathy visit to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum in Maiduguri, where he expressed concern over the devastating impact of the flood. He described the situation as “mind-boggling” and “disastrous,” noting that many houses had been submerged and their foundations weakened.

The business mogul urged corporate Nigerians to support the Borno State Government in addressing the destruction caused by the flood. “The government cannot do it alone. We need to help ensure that people do not continue to suffer,” he said.
