The price adjustment, which took effect immediately, represents a significant reduction in the cost of fuel from the refinery and is expected to ease pressure on households and businesses amid ongoing economic challenges.

Industry sources confirmed the new ex-gantry price, describing the move as a positive development that could influence downstream retail prices across the country.

This latest reduction comes as the Dangote Refinery continues to ramp up production and play a pivotal role in Nigeria’s quest for self-sufficiency in petroleum products.

The refinery has previously adjusted prices in response to global oil market dynamics and local operational efficiencies.

Consumers and marketers have welcomed the price cut, with expectations that it will translate to lower pump prices at filling stations in the coming days, depending on logistics and dealer margins.

The development is seen as another step toward stabilizing fuel supply and pricing in Africa’s largest economy.
