Dangote Sugar Refinery Numan’s Students Ace Quiz Competition, Showcase Academic Brilliance

Students of the Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR) High School NUMAN have emerged victorious at the 4th edition of Dangote Inter-Schools Quiz Competition 2025 in Adamawa State.

The school won the competition with 95 points in Agriculture, Mathematics and Current Affairs beating Guyuk and Shelleng Secondary Schools who scored 60 and 55 points respectively.

The 4th position goes to Lamurde Secondary School, 5th to Demsa Secondary School for scoring 40 points while Numan Government Secondary School scored 35 points.

During the event, a Student of DSR, Safiya Bello, was declared the most outstanding student of the competition, while Samuel Peter and Amanda Kumi of Guyuk and Shelleng Secondary Schools won 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

The competition is part of the corporate social responsibility of DSR aimed at encouraging academic excellence as well as fostering good relationship among children in its host communitiescommunities.

The event which was organised by the DSR for schools cut across hosts communities and held at the DSR on Saturdaywas graced by the royal fathers other stakeholders, management and staff of the DSR.

Some of the schools who participated in the competition include DSR High School, Government Secondary Schools Lamurde, Numan, Demsa, Shelleng and Guyuk Local Government Areas.

In her welcome address, the Group Head of Social Performance, Dr. Mrs Adenike Olaoye, said that the DSR is honoured to organised the event, and thanked the students, teachers, parents and stakeholders for gracing the event.

Dr. Mrs Adenike, stated that education is very important to DSR, and assured their commitment towards supporting students who are leaders of tomorrow so as to excell in their education pursuit.

In his opening remarks on behalf of the management, the Head of Administration of DSR, Mr. Ude Nkama, appreciated the participants and those who took their time and graced the event.
