The family of the late Nigerian business tycoon, Alh. Aminu Dantata, is awaiting approval from Saudi authorities to fulfill his long-standing wish to be laid to rest in Madinah, the holy city of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Alh. Dantata, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s business landscape, passed away recently, and his body is currently in Abu Dhabi pending arrangements for transfer to Madinah.
According to a statement shared by Sanusi Dantata, a family member, Alhaji Aminu Dantata is not buried yet, efforts are ongoing to secure the necessary permissions from Saudi authorities to transport the late patriarch’s remains to Madinah for burial.
However, if the approval process is delayed, the family has indicated that the body will be brought back to Kano, Nigeria, for interment.
The late Alh. Dantata was widely respected for his contributions to Nigeria’s economy and philanthropy. His desire to be buried in Madinah reflects his deep spiritual connection to the holy city. The family and well-wishers continue to pray for his forgiveness and entry into Jannah-tul-Firdaws.
“May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannah-tul-Firdaws. Ameen,” Sanusi Dantata said in his statement.
Further updates on the burial arrangements are expected as the family awaits a response from Saudi authorities.
