Nigerian music superstar, Davido, has sounded a note of caution to voters in Edo State, urging them to remain vigilant throughout the electoral process.

In a passionate appeal, Davido shared his personal experience during the Osun election, recounting the sleepless nights and intense moments.

“I know how many backs of heads I slapped that day… ‘Wake up ooo, sleep never reach!'” he exclaimed.

Davido emphasized the importance of vigilance, warning Edo people to stay alert until the very end.

“Edo people, you have to be vigilant till the very end… I mean VERY END!!” he stressed.

The Afrobeats sensation also took a swipe at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), describing it as a “dangerous institution” in Nigeria.

Davido’s comments come as Edo State prepares for the outcome of its gubernatorial election, with many stakeholders calling for free, fair, and credible polls.
