The senior special assistant (SSA) on Humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation, Mrs Delu Yakubu Bulus to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the country under his administration is set to end poverty.
Mrs Yakubu said this while addressing hundreds of joint associations of Persons living with Disabilities, Women and Youth said poverty would be history as many wealth creation programs would be introduced into the system by the current Government.
The cheering Adamawa Women, Youth, and Hundreds of Physically Challenged, people living with disabilities (PLWD) have applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Mrs Delu Bulus Yakubu as his senior special assistant (SSA).
Delu during her home visit interfaced with the joint association of People Living with Disabilities, women, and the Youth on what she described as Charity begins at home on her scheduled Northeast tour Sensitizing the people on the renewed hope of President Tinubu.
The Secretary of the State Physically Challenged, Ibrahim Idris praised the Government of Tinubu for having started on a good landslide, raising the hope of Nigerians of his government’s renewed hope agenda.
Idris thanked the President for giving Adamawa a sense of belonging by bringing the likes of Nuhu Ribadu (National Security Adviser), Professor Mamman Tahir as Minister of Education, and Delu to work closely with him in building a strong Nigeria whose economic base is on shambles.
Idris who spoke on behalf of the Joint Association of People Living with Disabilities said the likes of Delu are rare and her record over the years in Adamawa politics spoke well of her as a good politician, grassroots mobilizer, and philanthropist.
Delu while addressing the PLWD at their center in Yola said her position in the administration of President Tinubu is for all Nigerians.
According to her Tinubu is working for all Nigerians and the interests of the country, is focused on ending poverty in all geopolitical zones.
She said her call to service under Tinubu’s regime is a service to all Nigerians irrespective of race, political party affiliation or religion, and tribe.
She further explained that one of the reasons for her tour is to tell the Youth Nigerians of whatever political party they belong to, that the Humanitarian Ministry under the able Minister, Dr Edu Betta has positioned herself and the ministry well to serve all Nigerians.
She appreciated the Honourable Minister for allowing her to represent her in visiting Adamawa, her home state to pilot the awareness program of the women and Youth program in the Northeast states of Federal Government readiness to change the narratives of unemployment, and empowerment programs.
She called on Youth to remain calm and trust the current government on their mandate to deliver good governance to all people.
Delu Said her Office is for all Nigerians as such she decided to Call on Youth leaders of all political parties to provide ten people each for the empowerment program the government of Tinubu is set to commence through the Humanitarian Ministry.
One of the purposes of the visit was to improve the lives of Adamawa women on Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda where she distributed wrappers, and money to hundreds of the women, Youth, and Physically Challenged gathered at the Fombina Royal suite apartment in Yola and the PLWD’s center.
Delu who was accompanied by Ambassador Dr Christel Chanchnagi, founder and CEO of Africa’s multi-cultural World Foundation gave hope Nigeria will be better under Tinubu’s regime as she opened her office in Yola where she will always interface with the grassroots people.
The office in Bekaji was her kickstarting activities center on her visit to Yola and commissioned it to create awareness of the happenings of the Humanitarian Ministry under Edu Betta.
