…..says APC has done exceptionally well in Adamawa
Adamawa All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the State Government under the leadership of Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of claiming projects done by the federal government.
The APC party in a meeting with all stakeholders, party loyalists at Muna Hotel in Yola presented a scorecard of projects done by the federal government across various local governments of the state to celebrate June 12, Democracy day.
In what they call Next Level Mid Term scorecard of showcasing the giant strides of the various Ministries, departments, and agencies of the federal government in Adamawa state 2019-2021 they Said Governor Ahmadu in many occasions went about supervising and claiming the projects belonging to the Government of the Federation.
Honorable Vrati Nzonzo, former Local Government Council Chairman of Lamurde who is the Vice-Chairman organizing committee of the program, in a slice presentation gave instances where the Governor has been visiting ongoing, and completed projects by Federal Government to show the people of the state is the one doing them.
He said that many projects across the twenty-one local government done by the federal government they will deliberately temper with the signpost and the common man will not know whose projects it is.
Nzonzo gave example with the Hospital in Gulak where the Governor has been seen on many occasions paid a visit supervising the project which is done by the federal government under the petroleum equalization fund.
“The impression created in Gulak and Madagali as a whole that the hospital Project is a state own, and im saying is a capital false claim by the Fintiri led administration,” Nzonzo said
He also confirmed to this medium that the Kussom bridge in Michika Local Government is a federal government project through a grant it sources not by counterpart funding as the government of Adamawa is claiming.
“So also the UBE project in Yolde Pate is a pure federal government project, not a counterpart funding, the government of Adamawa is busy claiming and giving a false narrative of the projects that they do know nothing about.” He said
“It’s noteworthy to observe that no area of human endeavor was left out in the process of advancing progress and bring development to the people of Adamawa state from the center.
“From road infrastructure to health, education, social investment, housing, and water supply. With all sectors covered and all citizens are served, there cause enough to celebrate the extraordinary that is development we have witnessed so far in Adamawa.
” That’s why we have decided to celebrate these important giant strides of the Buhari-led APC Federal Government in Adamawa state. We have done this and said all these to settle arguments.” Nzonzo added
Some of the projects he mentioned are the construction of fifty-seven 1 block of 3 classrooms with office and veranda in almost all the twenty-one local governments of the state. Also the construction of 4 blocks of 2 classrooms with office, store, and solar power, in General, Murtala Mohammed College, Yola under the federal government, UBEC
He said other similar projects were done in Mubi, Yola South, Fufore, Jada, Yola North, and Hong.
“The APC is at the hem of affairs has, through the various agencies of the federal government, done exceptionally well in Adamawa state. The significant interventions put in place to empower and lift the people of Adamawa out of a State of mediocrity are laudable, commendable, and enough to push Adamawa state to the fore of Excellence.” Said Vrati
