Democracy day: Let’s Pray for our Land-Bindow

As the country celebrate 29th May of every year as democracy day,the Adamawa state government has dedicated this year’s democracy day celebration to prayer,Fasting and supplications to the Almighty God.

Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla Bindow, made the the call in his state broadcast on the occasion of the 2018 democracy day.

According to him, all Imams and Pastors to organise special prayers session for Nigeria and Adamawa state.

Bindow said Adamawa should pray for divine intervention for peace, unity and progress to in our communities.

Bindow noted that when they took over, they met a very tough and rough situation but they recorded a lot of success.

” it will have been appropriate for us to roll out drums and celebrate democracy day in a big way, but the mood of our state will not allow us”

The governor urged the people of the state to rededicate their selves to peace and peaceful coexistence, continue to support the government in the provision of credible service and democratic dividend

In the spirit of celebrating the return of democracy, 33 people serving deferent jail terms across the state were pardon by the executive governor with Immidate effect.

Majority of those pardon where youths ,below the ages of 25- 30,with a call on them to change and be good samaritant.

Some of them that gained their freedom mal.Aminu Haruna ,Ali Magaji,Usman Abdullahi Awal mohammed and Mohammadu sani,just to mention few,thanked Governor Mohammadu Umaru jibrilla for granting them pardon.

The promised to change their character to be good Nigerians,and assured that they will never get involved into any crime by god grace in their life history.
