Democracy day: Stay steadfast we will overcome our challenges- Sen Bindow charge Nigerians

The immediate past Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, has appealed to Nigerians to remain steadfast and committed to the ideals of the founding fathers of the country.

Speaking to honor June 12, the country’s Democracy day via telephone chat to our correspondent, Bindow said the current security challenges being experienced across the country was not enough to shake our faith in the corporate existence of the country, as it would fizzle out.

According to him believing in the founding father’s vision of the country’s corporate existence, where unity and love exist, will give out peace, justice and development shall reign in every sphere of the nation.

He stated that insecurity has become a global challenge, is tasking leaders all over the world to come together for a way forward to figure out the insecurity threats.

” In Nigeria, we have a unique advantage of overcoming our challenges, if we remain committed to our Ideals of respect for our diversity and plurality in our core values”.

“Nigeria is a resilient country and I believe, we would overcome the current challenges,” Jibrilla stated

The former Governor, appealed for some sections of the country to shun the use of violence in espousing their cause, as violence is counterproductive.

“Let us imbibe the culture of dialogue in pursuing our goals of developing our society.” He added

Bindow called on Adamawa people to sustain the tempo of peace being experiencing in the state with a more lasting peace through harmonious living with all religions and tribes.

He however commended the peaceful coexistence and appealed to the state government and the citizens to sustain the pace.
